Cherished son, brother, uncle and friend

Walter W. Francis, III, 58, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017. He was born in Louisville, KY and lived in Madison, NJ for most of his adult life.

As a youth, Walter was a member of Boy Scout Troop 7 of St. Vincent Martyr Church. He was an athlete, playing softball and ice hockey, and was a skier and ski instructor. An avid outdoorsman, Walter enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and his Llewellin Setter Phoebe. He was also an accomplished gardener and enjoyed cooking with the vegetables he grew.

Walter was co-owner of Chatham Print and Design, helping found the company in 1978. He was a successful businessman and enjoyed being involved in the community. He and Phoebe were well known around Chatham.
